Kinetic Sculpture - begun by Hobart Brown over 25 year ago in California,
now flourishes in several other areas around the US. Entering its forth
year here in Baltimore, the East Coast Kinetic Sculpture Race dominates the streets of Baltimore for one day in April. Coordinated by the
American Visionary Art Museum and run by volunteers, the race covers 15 miles
of downtown Baltimore. Kinetinauts are challenged to construct a human powered
vehicle to traverse city pavement, a sand pit, a mud bog, and float
in the harbor. For more information and the not so rulely rules, check out
